Stock splits and security history

I'm trying to untangle my quicken 05P records for a specific stock. The situation got muddled by a 2:1 stock split on 8/24/05 and my choice to take 50% of dividends in cash rather than reinvesting the full amount. I believe the company in question (PPL) handles the dividend payout by moving 50% of my shares from the DRIP to a book entry account which pays cash dividends.

Luckily, I have an account for this stock only. Using the "Summary" mode, my share balance looks twice as big as it should. It's also 2x too big As Of the beginning of the year. I'm using a recent printed statement and Quicken numbers are 2x what I see on the statement.

But looking at the "Transactions" list, all individual transactions look fine. So does Quicken roll back through all history and revise the indicated share price and number of shares to reflect "today's" (post split) price? That would explain why I have 2x as many shares way back at 1/1/05. How does the "As Of" box interact with the split date?
