Boy, did they mess this up; perhaps since I don't have a lot of stock, I've missed the way Vanguard typically handles splits. But Q downloaded two transactions for this 20-1 split. The first simply ADDED the newly corrected number of shares, but the second added a SECOND transaction, a STOCK SPLIT 1 to .05 making my current number of shares huge (I wish), even after the new price (About $120).
So after deleting both and manually adding a stock split 20-1 without a new share price (which is optional in the dialog), all is well. (Used the 5/30 date, as this was the date that the downloaded priced list inside Q indicates the new share price took after after the split.)
Wonder why Vanguard and/or Q couldn't get this correct originally? This was as simple as a stock split comes, right?
Maybe that Vanguard is using some (Wrong for Q) method of accounting for what they believe is a correct way of electronically notifying 'someone' of the split and Q simply sucks it in?
Insights from anyone?
