Tax Planner & ETF capital gains

Windows XP, Q '05. I have recently sold some mutual funds, and some Exchange Traded bond funds. Using Tax Planner/Capital Gains/LongTerm Gains & Losses, the Mutual fund gains and losses show up as expected, but the sales of the ETF's which had losses don't show up. I have them listed in Security/Security Details as Asset Class Domestic Bonds and a user-defined "Type" as HY Bond ETF.

Any idea why they don't show up in Tax Planner? They appear as they should in a Capital Gains Report.

Thanks

Are you sure the ETF sales were for long term losses? I setup a test security with your "Asset Class" and "Type" and tested for both long and short term losses: both showed properly in the tax planner (seeing the detail requires selecting the correct link; "Short Term ..." or "Long Term ...".)

Sorry I can't be of more help about the cause; but there is one long shot you can try. Perhaps your tax planner data is slightly corrupted. You coud try Validate/super-Validate (backup first). But before that, you could try renaming QDATA.QTX, which contains your tax planning data (or so we've been led to believe). Doing so would probably require you to re-enter data, but might let you get past your problem. If not, you can always rename the old .qtx file back and return to where you started.
