Steve,

Let's make this clear.

  1. TD Bank is going to a new software system and, apparently, another contractor to handle downloads, online bill pay, and such.
  2. The "change" you need to make in Quicken is to turn off online with TD Bank, then delete the financial institution name, put in a new financial institution name, then re-sync with TD Bank. Downloads then continue to work as always.
  3. Your Quicken-based bill paying goes away. Permanently. I suppose this is what they mean by "improvement", in true 1984-style doublespeak. You can go online to their web site to pay bills, but you could have been doing that anyway. If you want to pay bills from Quicken, Intuit will be happy to charge you .00 a month.

There are other banks near where I live that don't charge for Quicken-based bill pay. I've already sent TD an email letting them know that I think that they're idiots and that I plan to leave.

Hell will freeze over before I pay Intuit one effing cent to pay bills. They are far better alternatives such as preauthorized payments.
