The Dreaded OL-209-B Has Hit Me!

Oct 21, 2017 1 Replies

After months of using Q2107 R15 without a problem, suddenly I get

During the last online session, Quicken encountered an online error [OL-209-B]. What does that mean? Quicken is unable to read a response from the server. The response may not have been returned, there may have been inadequate disk space, or a disk error may have occurred while saving the response to a temporary file. The next time you go online for this financial institution, Quicken will attempt to re-send your original request. What do I do now?

Wait and try again later

Well, I waited several hours and got the same result. Two different institutions gave the same error.

I wiped all the temp files despite the fact that I have gobs of space C;, the drive where Quicken is installed.

After fooling around a bit, I tried to visit qlc.intuit.com (the root of the so-called support page) and got this:

The hostname in the website?s security certificate differs from t he website you are trying to visit. Error Code: DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_CN_INVALID

Is that the problem?

Huh! Tried it again and it worked! :-)
