I have to transfer all my holdings from one brokerage to another.
I remember some years ago there were problems with transferring stocks and mutual funds between brokerage accounts; specifically the cost basis got messed up. Some people even recommended leaving the ecurities alone and changing the account information in Quicken to reflect the new brokerage.
Has this been fixed? (I'm running Quicken Premier 2011)

The last 2 times I tried this - January 2006 under QD2004 and June
2008 under QD2007 - it didn't work right and I ended up changing the account name/FI/account # both times. Backup you file and give it a shot. Tells us how it works out!Tom Young
I've used the Quicken "Shares transferred between accounts" transaction twice (at least), with no problem.
I don't recall which versions of Quicken I did the transfer in; but for certain no earlier than Q2002 and no later than Q2008. And during that time, I have only used Q2002, Q2005 and Q2008 as my regular Quicken versions ... so the conversions must have occurred in one, or more, of those three versions.
