Does any one know about the yes/no option at the top of the form. Importing my data from Schwab left neither checked. I then checked yes and my refund went up. Checking no was the same as with neither checked.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Since you didn't help us out by telling us what was yes/no
1099-B top area "Attach a Statement instead of reporting individual sales" - Yes - No - You can right click on the yes/no - for more info -Hi, Marvin.
Why so cryptic? What does that option box on Schwab's 1099-B say?
Oh, OK. On my return I can see an option box, not on the actual IRS 1099-B but on TurboTax's Form 1099-B Worksheet, one for each of my brokers. On each one it asks, "Attach a statement instead of reporting individual sales?" and provides Yes/No boxes. Is this what you mean?
My guess is that if you had gains, checked Yes, but forgot to attach a list of your individual sales, your income would be underreported - and your refund would be much bigger - until the audit. Is that what happened in your case?
If you provide a few more details, we might be able to help.
