TurboTax and Windows Presentation Foundation

Anyone else run into a conflict between TT 2010 and Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0 and/or 4.0 services?

My install of TT 2010 Deluxe on an XP Pro sp3 system locked up using 99% CPU. Through trial and error (much use of msconfig and rebooting) that the culprit(s) were the two services above. I disabled both using services.msc, and things are back to normal (normal for TT, that is).

These services don't appear to be particularly necessary. They are related to Microsoft's .NET applications (one for .NET Framework 4.0 and the other for earlier versions). According the the text in Services, their purpose is:

Optimizes performance of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications by caching commonly used font data. WPF applications will start this service if it is not already running. It can be disabled, though doing so will degrade the performance of WPF applications.
