This is not really a tax question, but a filing one. When I use the PDF fillable forms I have to click with the mouse to go to the next field. If I should use the Tab key the Acrobat Reader dies. I am using Windows 7 and the latest updated Acrobat Reader. I know the bypass; unfortunately my fingers automatically go to the Tab key.
Problems With Acrobat Reader

I don't know what your problem is, but when I fill in IRS forms, either on line or forms saved on my computer, hitting the Tab key moves the curser into the next field.
These days I am using Acrobat, though I used to use Acrobat Reader and don't remember ever having a problem with it in this respect.
Which operating system are you running?
He mentioned Windows 7. I think it's safe to say there is something corrupted in your software installation; I can't think of any software where it is normal to "die" because the Tab key is pressed.
Test this by trying the same thing on someone else's computer.
What is your question? There was none in the OP that I could find.
