question regarding RMD indecision

My wife and I are both in our mid-70's.

Our mutual fund portfolio on the whole is a bit too aggressive for someone our age. We want to be able to sleep more soundly!

It's time to do wifes' 457 Plan RMD (required minimum distribution).

We did get some assistance from a CFP.......tho he stopped a bit short of sorting this thing out 100% for us. But he did narrow down our choices!!

The RMD amount is about $14,000.

We want to take the "distribution" from the _ MORE_ aggressive of the 2 following mutual funds in wifes 457 basket:

FSKTX Fidelity Total Market Index Inst.

RWMGX American Funds Washington Mutual R6

Please, which of the 2 above mutual funds would be considered the more aggressive over the span of the next few years?

Thank you so much!!....

The Fidelity fund is the more agressive, as it is a large blend fund with a beta of 1.01 while the American fund is a value fund with a beta of 0.95.

The distinction though is pretty small.

The American fund has an annual expense that is 10X that of the Fidelity. I'd sell that first.
