I have just obtained a CCJ against an individual that owes me money, now how do the credit reference agencies get notified of CCJ's ? Does the court do it, is there some kind of automated procedure or is it up to me to get in touch with them to make sure they know about this CCJ.

They have about a month to pay up. If they don't pay up in that time, you can start enforcement proceedings. At that point it will be passed to Registry Trust who will pass it to the credit reference agencies.
