CCJ issue.

Can anyone advise please.

I have a CCJ that was entered against my name in 2004 for 200. I ignored the court papers and played the solicitors about two months after papers ware issued. On my credit file CCJ its still shown as unsatisfied. Yesterday I contacted the company that asked local courts to register CCJ against my name and to them the situation.

Company confirmed that there is no outstanding balances under my name with them any more and that they are happy that the payment was received and are willing to write me a letter.

If I get the letter from them stating this then take it to my local courts which will then update the CCJ as satisfied as it was paid after 28 days of the issue of summons. Then I will after contact Credit agencies and provide them with Certificate of satisfaction for them to update my credit file as satisfied.

This will show my CCJ as satisfied on my credit files with Experian, Equifax and CreditFile. By doing this will it increase my credit rating, at the moment is 716 whatever that means. I have no other problems on my files all payments are made on time.

The Company that asked courts to have CCJ registered against my name are will willing to writ me a letter saying that they have no issues with this CCJ to be cancelled completely? Is this possible to do so its wiped of my credit file completely not just marked as satisfied?

Thanks for your help.
