company bank account with no credit?

Hello, I'm newly back in Britain after a long absence and find myself treated like a foreigner by the banks. Simply because I was away, my credit score is actually lower than someone with CCJs.

So I'm getting turned down for business bank accounts. I just need one to put my pay into, no borrowing.

Something I considered was "guaranteed bank accounts" like this:

Does anybody know if this works? Is there a catch that is not apparent (besides the fact that they charge you lots of money)?

Another option is a Swiss bank account. Do they do company accounts? If so, which bank? Or should I pay an intermediary to set it up?

All ideas welcome, as I am in a fix.

D.

My parents had a French bank account with a UK address. They understood that going 'overdrawn' in France is not permitted - may even be a legal offence. If that is so, then a French bank is not at risk in opening an account for someone with no 'credit history'.

Have you thought about opening a French account, and doing it all on the web?

When you say "pay" what do you mean exactly?

If you are an employee then you don't need a business bank account.

If you are self employed and you can't get a business bank account then I'd get a personal account soley for business use.

Do you have a limited company?
