coupon dates of short term gilts

Feb 01, 2008 3 Replies

please can some one explain to me what the coupon dates are for short term gilt stocks. I understand that there are two coupon dates spaced

6 months apart.

A) Are the coupon dates on the six month anniverseries of the redemption date?

B) Is the redemption date itself also a coupon date?

Thank you, and sorry if this is a 'newbie' question.

That's normal for all gilts, AFAIK

Technically I think it's the anniversaries of the issuance date, but it amounts to the same thing

Yes

Have a look around

thank you both for those helpful replies and links. All the places I had managed to find seemed to assume that the reader already knew the information I lacked.
