Credit Report query

All

I've just used the Experian trial to look at my credit report and on the report I see everything, apart from one, is green with no late payments. The credit amount was 150 dating back to 1998 to company called DSG. I have no idea what this is for but it looks bad to have taken 6 years to clear a debt of 150 and to me it looks odd for everything else to be totally free from late payments. :-(.

On this bad one there are two '2,s' and one '3' and it was settled in 2004 but how do I go about finding what the reasons for the bad marks are? And if I think they are wrong can I ask this DSG companny to explain the 2's and 3 to see if they can be removed? I did try looking around the FAQ on Experian's site but couldn't see a link to answer this so any hints would be appreciated

thanks

DSG is the Dixons, Currys, PC World, Link group of companies.

DSG is Dixons Store Group. You could try to get it removed, but it will fall off your credit report in the next few months anyway, so there probably isn't much point.

I thought items stay on a report for 6 years.

Thanks for confirming what I thought. Now I need to wait for DSG to reply so I can see what this is about.

How likely could it be that a mistake has been made? I only ask because I have no idea what I bought from the DSG group back in 1999 which required a credit limit of 150.
