Disney - do they own their "Parks" ?

Feb 05, 2007 3 Replies

Not including the Eurodisney one but do they fully own the main USA Amusement parks ?

i'd say they do but a "colleague" reckons they don't due to the bad times they were having pre-Pixar animations which turned them around - so i guess he means they needed partners to see them thru

any links appreciated

The Walt Disney Company, through its Parks and Resorts Division, owns outright both the American theme parks, in Anaheim and Orlando. Overseas resorts' ownership is varied, such as 50:50 with HK government, none at all in Tokyo (owned by Oriental Land Company, a Japanese corporation that pays licensing fees to Disney) and partially in Paris through Euro Disney SCA,

40% owned by Disney.
