DVD player as biz expense?

I am buying a DVD player and I wondered if I can put it through as a business expense. Used to watch training DVD's. I work from home if that makes any difference.

Sole trader, Ltd company, or employee?

If you only use it for business purposes, Yes.

If not, some restriction for personal use would be required.

Some/all of any Input tax can be reclaimed, if you are VAT registered.

If it is a 30 one, there shouldn't be too much problem as long as you are not also claiming a TV, HiFi, washing machine, etc. If it's more expensive, be prepared to be asked for the percentages of business and personal use.
