Education - 6th Form - Payments

Sep 03, 2006 3 Replies

Along the grapevine I've been told that students in the Essex area (don't know if it applies across the UK) who stay on for 6th form education can apply for payments from the government of 30 per month if they stay in 6th form education.

I have no further details, but would like more. Can anyone come up with any more information please?

Thanks in advance.

John

Im surprised a Google didnt find this one for you. Its the Education Maintenance Allowance (which can be found without using any of those words).

They've been doing this here (Scotland) for about 3 years. It is per week, not per month. It is means tested. We have to get a form from the education department at the council and return it to there.
