Given the US justice system that may well be true for at least a few of them in comparison

Probably a put up job like the thing in the original Dirty Harry movie to get him an early release on health grounds.
Not really. I don't see why someone like him should be the subject of physical violence. If people are stupid enough to believe his lies about his investments being hugely more rewarding than his competitors then they need to open their eyes and ask just how he does it.
