G10 or Cemap??

Mar 01, 2004 1 Replies

Hi, just finished my FPC as was thinking of starting either CeMap/MAQ or G10? Was just wondering what people think is the more sought after qualification in terms of employers/salary etc? Also was wondering how anyone who has done both/either exams find them in terms of difficulty?

Thanks.

Hi Michael

I haven't done either exam (I'm in the same position as you having just finished my FPC). However, I've seen the coursebook for both CeMap (the bridge paper) and G10, and I think that CeMap is much, much easier.

If you want to give mortgage advice, then you really need CeMap/MAQ, and you can think about the AFPC later. If you are thinking of going into some other area of financial advice, G10 might be more use to you.

Laura.
