I suffered some damage to my property in the recent high winds. My insurers sent a surveyor who suggested that most of the damage was down to "wear and tear". I don't agree with this and want to know how to appeal against his report recommendations.
Is there a right of appeal against the decision of an insurance surveyor?

Search in Yell(ow pages) for Loss Assessors &/or Loss Adjusters in your area and ask them for advice and their terms.
Write to insurer disputing surveyor's view. The insurer is obliged to reply to you, and you can appeal the decision to the FOS.
