Natwest disabled some internet banking features: let's complain about it together!

As a Natwest online customer, I don't want to go to a branch or use the phone to create a standing order: I want to do it on the internet as usual.

Now I cannot do it anymore, because there are some fools who give their security data without connecting their brains to the fingers before typing.

If you are like me, use the Natwest feedback form to complaint about this!

Also, I like to see the manager who made the decision to disable online banking features F I R E D !

Oh grow up - I see no problem whatsoever in a bank, knowing that the security protocols for it's online banking are compromised, making alterations to the website and/or access protocols. If they have to block online access for a few hours whilst they make these alterations, then so be it.

What would you prefer? For them to do nothing and let customer accounts be fraudulently used? Do not forget that the primary function of a bank is not to be warm and fuzzy, but in the protection of it's customers financial assets.

Natwest seem to have considered this more important than the online administration of a standing order, which after all, you can do on the phone. Besides how many standing order setups are so important that they cannot wait a day?!

You seem to have misunderstood FZ's concerns, which appear to claim that maintenance of standing orders has not been "blocked for a few hours", but withdrawn, stopped, made permanently an ex-feature.

You can? Using the same password you would use online? Pull the other one.

The online statement by NATWEST clearly says that this, and several other measures, are purely temporary. The measusre which restricts online movements of money to £1000 is more serious, even if temporary, because it could trap customers, who had been relying on the facility, to go overdrawn elsewhere. A warning email would have been nice.

Yes, they have removed mention of that restriction, but the other ones are still there.
