Are there any banks that would allow me to send money from my account using the Internet banking not only to another UK bank account but also to accounts in different countries ?

Basically, no. See a recent thread I started about sending some money to Germany. It was the thread ""Visa Direct' for international payments, anyone know anything about it? " but develped into a general discussion about sending Euro (and other) payments.

It is rather sad. I know I can get Nationwide building society to issue a cheque for free which I can then send abroad by post so why I cannot send the same amount in out of my account directly to a foreign account I do not understand. I would be happy to pay a fee equivalent a postage I have to incur. I find it even more incredible because I can send money abroad (to my account in UK, for example) from a current account in Czech republic via Internet operated from here! I always thought that we have an advanced banking system in this country.
