OT - Euromillions jackpot

Hi,

Does anyone understand how the Euromillions prize draw jackpot is worked out? Last week the jackpot was 17 million Sterling but no one won it. This week it is 6 million Sterling which seems odd as, a few weeks ago, the jackpot kept going up for 3 or 4 weeks until it got to 30 million Sterling. No one won the 30 million either.

I can't work out what criteria they have for rolling over jackpots. There does not appear to be a system but, legally, there must be surely.

John.

AFAIK, there was a single winning ticket which won last Friday's jackpot, but it was not a UK purchased ticket.

"Oh yes they did!!"

No, it doesn't seem odd at all - someone (a single lucky sod, outside UK) won last week (17,973,434).

Wrong again. Again, a single player (outside UK) won the entire 30,738,943 (Draw 42 Fri 26 Nov 04).

Thanks. Ah, so when I go to the UK National Lottery site and look at the results which show ZERO winners of the jackpot plus second and third prizes it is simply showing the UK winners... or lack of winners. Mmm, I would prefer it to show the EU wide winners. A British lady won about 18 million back in the Summer but I wonder how many jackpots have been won by people in other EU countries.

There is a column showing UK-only winners

*and* a column showing EU-wide winners.

Or are you looking at a differnt webpage?
