Paying money into to foreign euro a/c

I need to purchase some goods from France. Unfortunately they can't accept credit cards. If I pay by telegraphic transfer that'll cost 20 which is only slightly less than the goods are worth.

Is there another less costly way I could do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Always cheeses me off that this sort of thing costs so much. Anyway, this might sound silly, but if you trust the supplier, post a couple of Euro notes. If you don't, tear in half and post second half after delivery!

Alternatively obtain an International Money Order from your bank.

Many thanks.

Yes but even that is 10. Interesting idea about Euros torn in half!

get a foreign draft from your bank and post it to france - should work out about 6 if the face value is under 100 (thats HSBCs charge for their customers)

Why not write them a UK cheque?.. I am sending money home 2 my parrents back in Denmark, and have given up trying to use BoS's international payment service.. 1. To expensive, and 2. To risky..

It cust only £5 to get the cheque cashed in DK...

Mail them a Euro travellers check, endorsed to them.

In £sterling, - using the chequebook I got with my curent a/c. -

They will then clear the cheque using the exact same princips as here in the UK, - the diferents is just the timeframe(7 banking days), and in some cases, they are making the amounth awaliable for the customer even before they have security!..

:)

Simple and strait-forward ;)
