What an idiot.

Speaks a load of trash then, when he's called on it, spouts abuse because he doesn't know better. You have my pity.

I always use my debit card (visa delta), noticed last time I bought a car that they would not except cash anyway. Theres usually a surcharge on credit cards, can't remember what the rate is but even if it is low it will total a substantial amount when your paying for a car. I've heard that there is a limit of 10k per transaction not sure if it is true or not, I once transferred 49K with mine, did it in 5 transactions of 9800 to be sure.

Done 18k on an american express card, so I guess the limit depends on your bank and your account pattern.

Why does 'live' and 'other half' spring to mind?

Ha, ha. :o) See where your coming from, but as it happens it was a nice quick way to transfer funds from one account to another. Thank god. :o)

Yeah I think that is true. From what I remember it is up to the bank wether they set a limit or not.

Funny enough, got declined on a 6 quid spend once because it was out of pattern, same card. Also had a card stopped this year because I made two payments to orange in one month and they suspected fraud.

Well in Sheffield Yorkshire I dunno which version of the spelling they use but the Bankers Draft/Draught pub there is - and wouldn't it be wierd if they served pints of a mentioned brew by Whitbread...

It's the "Bankers Draft", and IIRC a Wetherspoons.
