Re: Newsnight Last Night - Housing Market (F**ked)

F**king hell that was grim viewing.

True.

Yvette Cooper looked strangely out of sorts,

She made Sarah Palin look like Wittgenstein. Is that really the level of talent in the Treasury these days? If so, we're screwed.

actually she looked rather worried as if the penny has finally dropped, b

ut was given a

comparatively easy ride.

It's a shame that the interviewer didn't make more of the stupidity of a policy of trying to get borrowing back to 2007 levels.

Cue some estate agent and a property millionaire (bought three buy to > lets such was the level of talent required to become a millionaire in > property) in blind panic mode trying to talk things up and pleading > for interest rates cut s and f**k all this inflation it shouldn?t be > the priority anymore (it goes without saying especially for houses).

Naked self interest in both cases. Again the interviewer didn't put the case for lower house prices. It would have been nice if someone who wanted prices to fall had been given a say too.
