Cahoot down all day

I hope this isn't the next bank to hit trouble. Their website has been 'currently unavailable' all day and they are not answering emails nor can I get through to speak to someone. This has not happened before for this length of time.

Not looking good.

I can understand the concerns but with Santander in the back I dont think there will be any problems of the matters we have seen the in previous weeks. Santander seems to be one Group that can benifit from this crunch

Is that so? Why has my account been effectively frozen. They are not doing anyCHAPS transfers or transactions of any kind. As for someone saying Abbey National have been down, I've just been to one of their branches, and spoken to a manager, and was told he was unaware of any computer related problems or power failure. And as I post, Cahoot are still down, now no website at all, which wasn't trhe case yesterday.

As I said I can understand the concerns. I'm only trying to give a rational explanation to the complications, as many fears the worst in these days (with good reason). But as the crisis is a crisis of confidence, I just dont think there is any reason to create more panic than neccesary. But when you are in the middle of it is difficult to have a different pattern of reaction. And I still believe that Santander will come to any rescue IF one of the associated banks experience difficulties.

Er, you haven't given any explanation . All you've said is don't panic.Neither have Cahoot given any explanation, other than tell us their system is down for maintenance and should be back soon. For nearly 3 days, during a working week and accounts frozen??? I suspect the problem is a lot more serious than simple maintenance, ffs!
