Why don't you want to secure a loan on your house? Afraid you might default again and end up on the pavement?

Thanks for the response, albeit rather a stupid one. The reason I don't want to to secure the loan on my house is because I will be changing mortgage company very soon....
Every newsgroup has one...

I'm no pillock! I felt that his response was patronising, and he was hardly trying to help, but i'm glad you feel that i'm at least due some respect!
I wasn't scoffing, I was genuine. And it's the solution I'm hopefully going for.
I can, I got a mortgage in the first place, albeit not the one I wanted. My CCJ drops off in February, so hopefully I'll become a 'wanted' customer again.
They've already agreed to an advance, but I was worried that I'd be tied in even longer after my 'no-penalties' two years.
I didn't realise that, thanks for the advice, it's appreciated. (not scoffing)
