Redundancy question - change of terms ?????

Say your given notice of Redundancy on 1-Aug 2008

and you have 3 months notice given length of service

so 1-Nov 2008 would be your first day non-employee and i guess the day you would get the cheque

question is - can the companys terms change between these days ?

i'm guessing yes they can - makes it a bit harder to plan though

maybe a good idea is to push to be "processed" quickly to guarantee your payoff

thanks

Not the terms of the redundancy, no.

What terms were you thinking of?

terms as in so many weeks pay per year of service ?

e.g. example above - terms on 1-Aug are 1 month per year of service

could that change to say 3 weeks per year of service during the 3 months or even up to the last day

contractually no. The redundancy contract was formed the day that notice was given and the terms of that contract can't change (without consent) thereafter. This won't stop the company trying, of course.
