Or even whether there'll be any deal at all, since I understand De Haan is still considering private equity deals instead of a public offer.

So how might someone buy shares in a private quity deal, or do I need a few million to be asking this question?

Exactly. There are several such companies sniffing around Saga, and I expect they'll get it if it's any good. If they don't want it, I'd be pretty wary. (I did register an interest when they wrote.)
