Well I know there is no gain without taking risk, but the question how far can we minimize it? I am prepare to take moderate risk if the idea is good.

Actually, I don't know anywhere where you could invest this money for such a short period with only a moderate risk. You could invest and make a packet, or you could lose much of it.

If 2,000 is all you own in the world then you wouldn't want to take any risks, but if you're actually a millionaire then 2K is horse racing money.
