a standing order is something that YOU set up with YOUR bank to send cash to a reciepent at regular intervals. If the ISA has a sort code and account number, you can set up a standing order for your bank to send money to it.
That's what I thought, thanks.
The Safeway's ISA (operated by Abbey National) can be paid into by standing order rather than direct debit. They also currently offer the second best cash ISA rate in the country - Monmouthshire Building Society being the first.
I've not seen a letter but I have just checked the website and it does now say 3.95% - however, they're still up there near the top in 3rd place (or if you want to be pedantic - 4th as M&SFS and Kent Reliance are at joint 2nd place at 4% AER).
