Anybody have any ideas which agencies are best for very short-term work. I only want something for about 6 weeks until my new job starts but I've been to several agencies and they want someone who will work for a minimum of 3 months.
I am based in Birmingham.
I don't really care what I do, even if it is just packing or something like that.

Slavery has been abolished in the UK, they can't make you turn up at the job, they can't make you do a job you don't like, and they can't withhold pay for work done
All that they can do is sue you for breach of contract
*if* they've suffered any loss. But no court in the land is going to enforce any more than a week's notice period on a basis labouring job.tim
I've never seen a temporary work contract that didn't have a notice period, either a week or a month.
