We could have said 'FO we're not implementing it - waddaya gonna do about it?'
If they tried fining us, we would refuse to pay.

So? Are you suggesting that the "recognised professionals" wouldn't be able to diagnose chills, headaches + cuts&grazes?

So? The above items don't only *prevent* the ailments, they also help *cure* them:-
Someone may already have a chill (ie pre-existing), which would get even worse without the hat.
Or they may *always* get headaches when they don't wear sunglasses on sunny days (ie the condition is pre-existing within the person already, that produces those symptoms whenever they are in direct sunlight).
Finally, if the person already had bad cuts&grazes, then part of the treatment may be to cover them with shoes, to protect them, while they heal.
So my specs are medically necessary ??? I'd say so..

I do not know, some are some aren't. Sun glasses, prescription or not, are usually not VAT free.
We could hide behind a tree and only come out after they'd gone.
But surely as im incredibly short sighted and couldnt go out the door without my lenses in,they ARE midically necessary? I simply couldnt function without them?

And they are usually much cheaper. My contact lenses cost me about £4 a pair I think, per month, so if your prescription changes at least once a year they are cheaper than the cheapest pairs of glasses.
