Whens the best time to make a CC payment?

As soon as possible. Every day you wait is another day that interest is charged.

I agree - I pay my credit card accounts by direct debit in full every month with the payment being made on the due date. That way I maximise the interest free period and maximise the interest I earn from the money sitting in my bank account. However, unless you've got a good bank account which pays relatively good rates of interest then that benefit is probably negiable.

I do the same. For some strange reason the money goes out of my bank account and into my credit card account on the same day. If you pay using internet or phone banking, the money will disappear in the clearing system for a while. If you pay by post, the money can actually appear in both accounts at the same time.
