Phoned Prudential the other day to request somebody to come out and talk through buying an insurance to cover inheritance tax only to be told they don't send people anymore! You have to do it over the phone. I don't like this idea as this is quite a complicated thing to deal with. So does anybody know a reputable large company that still have such agents?
Who still sends out financial advisors?

Why would you want the agent of only one company? Why not talk to an IFA? And he'd probably come out and see you anyway.

Prudential, reputable? Not two words I'd put in the same paragraph.
I'd agree, phone an IFA and ask them to visit. As you're buying insurance he can search the market and provide you with the cheapest cover, you can even ask to see the commissions the different companies are paying to make sure he's giving you the best deal.
