Working for a UK Company, living abroad

Dec 22, 2004 8 Replies

I work for a UK company and I live in Ireland.

Am I entitled to a Tax Refund?

You need to provide more information.

Which government are you expecting to reclaim tax from?

I would like to see if I can get a TAX refund from the UK Government. I have checked hm-treasury web's site however I could not find any documentation relating to the Terms and conditions for a Refund.

Thanks,

Have you paid any tax?

Yes, I pay the regular amount from every paycheck every month.

I suspect that you have to look at any Double Taxation treaty between the UK and the RoI. Your situation cannot be unique.

If you were working in England and being paid by an Irish company, the converse applies.

What sort of tax? And why do you think you are entitled to a refund?

What do you mean by regular? I know of no such "regular" amount!

Are you deliberately being vague?
