cost standards and cost variances

Thanks for your message, but can u please inform me what activities are involved in Cost Standards & Cost Variances (what are these exactly).

Thanks

I graduated with a BBA in accounting back in 2002. My degree plan was supposed to prepare the students for cost accounting jobs. I graduated with a 3.87 GPA on 4.0 scale. After looking for the ideal accouting job for five years, I have determined that employers will not hire you for an entry-level cost accounting job unless you are a CPA or have an advanced graduate degree.

its a 3 unit, 30 hour class to explain the details...hunker down and take a few cost accounting clases...irts a great area of speciality ( i feel) where there is pleanty of work, once you know what you are doing...esp w/ govt contracts and manufacturing businesses...biilling rates vary from $ 50

- $125 per hour for the expierenced....good luck !!!

Thanks again for your feed back, i hope i'll find some good institutes where such classes are conducted.

HI rusty, it's good to know ur from same field but may i know your from which country just for information purpose. kindly inform me about CPA(term) & what is exactly involved in it, as am now planning for a higher studies either with CIMA or any other institute offering it. what do u have to say about it.
