Simply accounting, password problem.

I was working on a simply accounting 2003 file in SA 2005, no problems. I wanted to not have to change to another directory when accessing the file for I copied the .SDB file to the 2005 dir and now when I try to open it I get a password prompt. I never had a password on this file. I tried moving it back and it does the same thing.

Any ideals?

Simply Accounting files always come in pairs, an .sdb file containing your data and an .sdw file containing security. These files must have exactly the same name and must be in the same directory. Deleting, moving or renaming the .sdw file will result in the password prompt.

If you shutdown or reboot the computer while Simply is open, you can damage the header on the main data file - this will lead to Simply asking for a password when there is none, or refusing to acknowledge your username/password combination. If this is the case, then you'll have to get the database repaired.
