MS Alternative to Quickbooks

If anyone here would like to get an early look at the upcoming Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting, they are signing up testers. If you are selected to be a tester they will obviously send you the beta to test, but they will also send you a complementary copy of Office 2003 Professional for you trouble. There are other incentives for submitting problem reports and suggestions. The info is at

BD,

There are other alternatives to QuickBooks. A-Systems Visual Bookkeeeper was recently reviewed by "The CPA Technology Advisor". It received 4 1/2 stars out of 5. Microsoft Small Business Accounting also received 4 1/2 stars. The difference is that Visual Bookkeeper costs a fraction of the Microsoft program and when you call A-Systems, the phone is answered by a live person, not a machine. Call (800) 365-6790 and try it for yourself.

A-Systems is one of the few remaining national accounting software companies. Many of the others have folded or been acquired. A-Systems has been around since 1978, remains independent, financially strong, and is a viable alternative to high-priced software from companies that provide poor service.

As an independent company, A-Systems only succeeds because its software is superior and more affordable. You can check out the software at

If you want a free trial copy of the software, call and ask. You don't have to be a guinea pig on beta versions to check out the software.

Sure, there are lots of oter alternatives. I was just giving out info on the MS beta test and the benefits availible to testers. I'm curious to see how successful MS will be in going after Quickbooks. Their attack on Turbo Tax was sure a big flop.

Let me put it this way: if their track record with Microsoft Money vs Quicken is any indication Quickbooks will be around for a long time Microsofts entry will very bug ridden and very badly designed.

Anyone remember when Microsoft tried to buy Intuit?

I can guarantee whatever Microsoft markets will be filled with lots of bugs.

Care to put money on that? Or perhaps all your money is invested in Intuit stock!

Personally, I can not wait to have a REAL alternative to a crappy product and company like Intuit.

Another inane comment from an obvious Microsoft hater.

Your infantile approach at humor has as much substance as your argument and is an obvious attempt from someone who doesn't know shit about software development.

Funny how you can make an assertion with no means to back that up with quantifiable data. Just another stupid Intuit apologist. Keep on paying those fees to Intuit while the rest of us move on to a superior product.
