errors in customer history window

Hi all,

When I "maintain customer" and look in the customer's history tab I'm getting inaccurate info. Any thoughts? PCA2004, Win XP.

TIA, Ron

Ron,

I would recommend that you do a backup of your company files and then run a data verification test. If this does not work, you can do an integrity check on your company. Peachtree recommends the following order:

Running the Integrity Check # Open your company. # Change your accounting period to 01 (Tasks, System, Change Accounting Period). # Choose File and Integrity Check. # Choose to make a Backup.

Once you have made a backup, The Data Integrity Check/Repair window will be available. It is in this window that the following tests will be run one at a time: # Check the box next to Reindex Files and choose Customer in the Reindex File List. Click the OK button. # Go back into File and choose Integrity Check. Click the Continue button. # Check the box next to Reindex Files and choose Jrnl Header in the Reindex File List. Click the OK button. # Go back into File and choose Integrity Check. Click the Continue button. # Check the box next to Reindex Files and choose Jrnl Row in the Reindex File List. Click the OK button. # Go back into File and choose Integrity Check. Click the Continue button. # Check the box next to Duplicate Reference Test and click the OK button. # Go back into File and choose Integrity Check. Click the Continue button. # Check the box to the left of Vendor/Journal under the Data Synchronization Tests and click the OK button.

Thank you for your response to my query. I can run the Verification from the File menu (no errors) but I can't open the "peachw.exe -i" for the integrity check. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again, Ron PCA2004

Change your shortcut on the desktop to read something like this: "C:\Program Files\Peachtree\peachw.exe" -i Right click on the short cut and select properties so that you can edit the Target line. Save the shortcut and then double click on it like you normally do.
