OS upgrade and Peachtree upgrade in 1

Been helping a 5 account Little ole lady business keep her win98 Peachtree 13 unit afloat and now its time to upgrade. She got a nice XP machine and a Peachtree 2006 (sage) package. She also has/got the Conversion for her ver. 13 Peachtree. I'm no bookkeeper and she's no PC tech....But she asked: If she can IMPORT or transfer the Company info from the Win98 machine to the XP machine. We have NOT converted the Version 13 yet and have NOT entered ANY Companies into the Newly installed XP machine with Peachtree 2006.

Anyone familiar with updating and upgrading all at once????? Suggestions???

I did exactly the same conversion. v13 Win98 to XP Premium 2005. Call Peachtree - they did a conversion from v13 to 2005 for me and then sent me the files. Be aware that you will loose all historical data for customers and vendors. They will only import Beginning Balances. I then did a reinstall of v13 on the new machine for the historical data.
