adding new inventory in purchase orders

We have not seen any place where we can create a new item in purchase orders, when adding new stock to our inventory. In our old software, we could create new items at will. How can we do this with RMS?

Life sucks when we're having to add each item to inventory, and then go into a purchase order and add them there, in order to receive the new items.

Any help?

Try this DRS AutoGenT lets you configure the RMS database to automate certain procedures for new item adds. It also automates changes to selected data in Item Properties and Purchase Orders

Boban666,

While the PO is open, Database | Items | New or Inventory | New Item Wizard. Copy the ILC into memory (Ctrl+C). After you have finished creating the Item, close the window | Add | Ctrl+V | enter. Jeesh!

If you are creating a PO, create a PO. If you want to create an Item, create it how you normally would while in the PO. You guys need to remember you can have multiple windows open at the same time.

I was just hoping that RMS would be sophisticated enough to allow new items to be created in the PO for user ease. I understand that we can have both windows open at the same time, but when you sometimes have anywhere between

10 - 1,000 new inventory items to add in, it would be simple to just add them into the PO and then receive them all at once. Sort of eliminating a step or two. Our existing software allows us to do that, which is so simple.

Thanks anyway.
