Administrator

In POS2K9, is there a way to install a role that is almighty, like an adminstrator?

From the Help Menu Allow administrative access Certain tasks in Microsoft Dynamics POS fall into the category of system administration and must be allowed or denied for each employee. These include: Create backups of the store database, Perform other database operations, Create and modify employee records, Reset encryption key, Settle transactions, Synchronize offline databases, Save custom reports and add reports, Modify add-in settings

You can control administrative access to Microsoft Dynamics POS by deciding which employees are allowed to perform system administration.

On the People menu, click Employees. Double-click the employee that you want to modify. Click Manage, and then provide Windows Administrator credentials if prompted.

Under System administration, select the check boxes for the tasks that this employee is allowed to perform, and clear the check boxes for the tasks that this employee is not allowed to perform, and then click OK.

Thanks Sammy,

I appreciate all you put into this. The reason I asked, is because I am more accustomed to not letting owners and managers have the 'All Access Pass'. This would prevent them from misusing or messing up their system. I was also wanting to dig deeper in the database; but it looks like we've been prevented from this, so we don't misuse or mess up the system.

Thanks Again,
