Administrator Rights

The cashier that has administrator rights can set security property, I give one cashier this privileges to able to create and modify cashiers property but need him to be unable to set security... I know it is not in RMS or POS. so may Microsoft take in consideration that issue...

The whole security system in RMS really needs to be updated. It's very powerful and configurable, but it does have some pretty serious failings.

You can work around the issue you are having by doing the following: Create "Template Users" for each "Role" that you want your cashiers to have. Configure these template users with the security level and rights that you want

For the Security level of the person you want to be able to create new cashiers, Use RMS Security to deactivate the "New" and "Delete" buttons for cashiers and the security level and rights assignment controls. Leave the "Copy" button enabled.

This security level can now copy cashiers from your pre-configured templates, butthey cannot create a user from scratch nor can they edit an existing user's rights.

Thanks Glenn for your response,

My Senario is as follows:

I disabled the security Set and View for all security levels except my highly level for maintenance.

Diabled New | Copy | Delete from cashier menu and other property, the only available option is PASSWORD to change for time to time.

The Top cashier has the administrator rights, when he go to cashier property he only see password as i need.

This right till now, he has administrator rights but can not go to security mode, can change password to other cashiers and nothing more.

He can double click (the 7th right box) on the bottom bar, he is now in security mode even it disabled it as i mentioned above, here he is able to do anything in the security and change it according to his needs.
