Question about User Rights

Does anyone know if QB is working on fixing user privileges in 2006's release? By that I mean that its still area-wide "create and..." dependent.

There are situations where I want an individual (the estimator) to be able to create & print estimates but not have the same privilege across the entire sales area. Same with POs...create & print but no access to all of A/P's functionality. Area-wide access is granted on a create, create & print, create, print & create reports basis. I would like to see (as I'm sure others would) privileges by type.

Before anyone complains that its impossible to do, its not. Super-old construction software I used many years ago did this. I could tell it to allow someone to create Estimates & Budgets but not Invoices or Payment Receipts, POs but not Bills, view any report or only selected reports.

Two of my clients who are QB ignoramuses are wanting to start using the software for estimating but I don't want them to have access to other areas or even all the areas of Sales or Purchasing because there's too high a risk of user error and the books getting out of whack.
