one more quick question about installing multi-user

I'm updating from a 2004 complete single user version to a 2005 multi-user multi-user version... in the update notes it says to install the 2005 as an update, but in the multi-user notes it says to install Peachtree on each system as a network install. Do I need to reinstall Peachtree on the first system as a network install or install it on the subsequent systems as a network install?

If the machine that already has Peachtree, is also the one acting as the server, you can simply Update. If it is not the server, do the Network install.

If the other PC's do not already have Peachtree installed, and are not the server, do the Network install.

That help?

sort of.... I'm not really running a server, I just have several systems connected across a network with shared folders. I couldn't really find anything in the Peachtree FAQ that specifically mentioned if I could simply share the folder on the current system and then just install the program on the other systems and access the company file on that shared folder of the primary computer.

I am assuming that you are saying that I can do this and that the primary system needs 2004 to 2005 update and that the subsequent systems need a 2004 to 2005 network install and then just create a path to the primary systems shared folder.
