Hi, I'm looking to purchase one of these. The latest compatibility spreadsheet only lists this one scanner? I'd think the system would be able to work with other scanners?

I would say that most any USB or Keyboard Wedge Omnidirectional scanner would work. I have been using the Metrologic 3780 USB in a number of installations over the past two years and there are no issues. Symbol and PSC also make good omnidirectional scanner models.

I use a Metrologic MS9520 USB. It works great. I had a warranty issue that was handeled VERY well, also. We also deal with intense sunlight at our POS, which often hobbles other scanners. The MS9520 is bright enough to cut through the sunlight.
It isn't cheap, but it is flawless in my opinion - maybe a little large.
As far as I know, any USB or keyboard wedge scanner will work.
