Building Kits

Oct 12, 2006 2 Replies

Just wondering if there is some way to automatically build kits or some way to do a report on what items you have available quantity to build kits for. My question basically is, once you have built a kit and then sell all of the kits you have built. How do you create more kits once you get the correct items back in stock? The only way I can see to do it is just going back into the kits properties and click build again. This works ok, but when we get a semi freighting in 1 company that we have built over 30 kits for. It gets tiring going through all of these kits to click build. A little too redundant. Just not sure if I am missing a simple little step that will automatically go through your kits and automatically build them if you have the available items. WOW that ended up being a long post. Perhaps I just want too much.

Thanks, Neil

I don't know if this will help you, but you don't have to pre-build kits. The On-Hand for the kit may be zero, then when you sell that kit, it will be built on-the-fly, reducing the on-hand for the kit's components at the time of sale.

Thanks for the quick reply. That is what I told one of our store managers but he thinks that the program should automatically put together kits for you so when you are trying to see how many complete kits you have you don't have to look at all of the items to see the true complete kit on hand. Thank you for confirming this for me.
